Nicolas Petit is Professor of competition law and Economics at the University of Liège. He completed in May 2007 a Phd. on oligopolies and tacit collusion under EC competition law. In addition to this, he has written a number of articles on Article 82 EC, the introduction of competition rules within international agreements as well as on the relationships between competition rules and sector specific regulation. Nicolas Petit holds degrees in Law from the universities Paris V (René Descartes) and Paris II, (Pantheon Assas). He holds a LL.M in European Law from the College of Europe in Bruges (Belgium). He served as an assistant to a Judge at the French Supreme Court (Cour de Cassation, Chambre Commerciale). In 2006, Nicolas was a reasearch fellow at Harvard Law School. He now works part time at Howrey LLP as a Special Counsel. Nicolas is also a Member of the Advisory Board of Global Competition Policy and the Executive Secretary of the Global Competition Law Centre of the College of Europe.
