Christos Malamataris is a competition law associate in the Brussels office of Covington & Burling LLP. He advises clients on all areas of EU competition law, including EU state aid law, merger control, and cartel investigations. He has worked in cases in the IT, energy, communications and air transport sectors. Prior to joining Covington, Christos clerked with the European Commission, DG Competition (Financial Crisis Task Force). In 2011, Christos also served as a national legal expert for Greece in a project of the European Commission, DG Internal Market, concerning free movement of services. Christos holds a law degree from the University of Thessaloniki (Greece), an LL.M. in EU law from the University of Athens and an LL.M. in Commercial Law from the University of Cambridge.
